Service Dogs
It is our goal to produce the most confident and resilient puppies we can,
including those with the potential for service work. Our puppies are raised on
the Badass Breeder Advanced Puppy Curriculum and take the
Puppy Aptitude Test at 7 weeks of age.
How to Qualify for a Service Dog Spot
We don’t charge extra for puppies that will be potential future service dogs.
We do, however, offer first or second pick of the litter for this purpose,
to make it more likely for you to get the puppy with the highest potential for service work.
Here’s how to reserve one of those spots:
Fill out an application and check the box “service dog” on the form. Tell us as much as you can about the kind of work you would like your dog to do for you.
Have a trainer on board willing to help you choose your puppy. Because we believe evaluations are so important in spotting potential service dogs, we ask that your trainer be available to help choose the best puppy in the litter for the service work you need done. We complete evaluations on puppies ourselves, but encourage your trainer to do their own if they’d like. This is a requirement to qualify for a priority pick of the litter.
Pay the $500 nonrefundable fee to get on the waitlist. We will discuss the best timing for a puppy for you and give you a timeframe on when our next available priority pick might be.
Join a litter list as the first or second pick. After we have a litter of puppies meeting your specifications and our availability, you will be given the option to join the litter list. You will have the first or second selection spot, based on availability.

Vertmond kennels Are Available for you
Vermont Kennels Puppies originated from a passionate breeder who fell in love with Great Danes in 2007. Our founder’s journey began when she met a four-month-old Dane puppy, which sparked a lifelong passion for the breed. Five years later, she brought home her own Dane, Jack, who became her best friend and confidant. After eight wonderful years with Jack, our founder decided to breed Great Danes to share their gentle, playful, and loving nature with others.
